Ancient shield of the MacGormains. Gorman means blue so naturally blue plays a large part in the make up of the shield. The swords are allegorical of our motto The first on and last off the field of battle.  The white lion, is passant meaning walking. This lion stands not on ceremony but walks with confidence

With the re-formation of the Clann, came a reconstitution of the shield. Essential differences is a darker blue, the addition of a black bar across the shield and our Clann name with the Clann motto in Irish Gaelic. The black represents the loss and dispersal of our Clann and Kin and the loss of our land and hereditary positions. We will remove this black bar once we have achieved our aims
